FieldPulse Engage is a single place for business calls, voicemails, and text messages with your customers. By using managed lines right within FieldPulse, your team can work together to respond to your customers and have a single place to see past conversations between your customers and techs. 

This article will walk you through setting up FieldPulse Engage, and using it to communicate with your customers. 

Start by navigating to the 'Administration' page and then clicking on 'Features & Plugins'. Click here to go to that page directly.  Then, find 'FieldPulse Engage' and click 'Enable'. The feature is in beta and is free to use until mid-December 2019. 

Next, choose your country, either U.S or Canada. If you're in another country, click 'I haven't found my country in the list'. 

Next click the blue 'Add Phone Line' button to set up your new phone line. 

In the window that pops up, name this phone line (Like 'Office' or 'Pete' for example) click 'Pick a Phone Number'. 

Choose your State and City to select a local number. It says 'Buy Phone Line' but the service is currently free, until mid-December 2019.

A list of available phone numbers will pop up. Select the one you click and click 'Pick a Phone Number'. 

Then confirm the details and click 'Add Phone Line'.

Next, assign a user, or multiple users to that phone line by clicking 'Assign User'. 

In the window that pops up, select the team member to add from the 'User' dropdown. 

Next, you can personalize your voicemail message, which is read by an AI voice when a customer calls. Once that looks good, click 'Save'. 

Now that Engage is set up, you'll see the 'Engage' button added to your main menu on the left hand side. Click it to go to the Engage page. 

On this page you can send and review SMS text messages and phone calls. To send a text, while on the SMS tab, click 'Create New Conversation'. 

Then pick a customer's name from the list, or enter the phone number for a new customer that isn't in your system. 

Once you've picked a customer, type the message at the bottom and click the 'Send' icon next to the text area. 

You'll see your messages, and replies here: 

You can also create a new job, recurring job, estimate or invoice for the customer, directly from this page. 

In the calls tab, you can again search for an existing customer or enter a new phone number. When calling a new number you'll be able to add them as a customer in FieldPulse. 

Click the 'Call' button to call the selected customer. 

The first time you use the system, you'll have to allow permissions for FieldPulse to use your microphone. The call details will show at the top right of the screen. 

Your call records and access to voicemail are found in this area.
