This guide will walk you through the steps to create a new invoice on the mobile app. The screenshots are from the iPhone app, but the Android app looks basically the same and the steps to follow will be the same.
First, open the left menu and click on 'Invoices'.
On this page, click on the green plus sign to create a new invoice.
First click 'Customer' to select a existing customer for this invoice, or add a new one.
On the customers page search for and click the name of the customer you want to add.
Back on the invoice, adjust the invoiced (created) date and the due date and add any notes. Then click 'Add line item' to start adding items to this estimate.
Click the line item you want to add from your list. You can also search for line items here.
Adjust the price, quantity and description of the line item and when you're ready to add it, click 'Save'.
Once you've repeated this process to add all the line items you want, add any discount or surcharge (if needed) and click 'Save' to complete the invoice.
Once the invoice has been created, you'll want to share it with the customer. Click 'Finalize Invoice'.
Next, in the window that pops up, click 'Prepare and Generate PDF'.
Once you've opened the PDF invoice and reviewed it, click the green plus sign.
On this page click 'Email'.
This will generate a new email to your customer with the invoice attached. Change any details you want and then click 'Send' when you're ready. You can include a signature request for customer sign-off. You can also include a payment request with the invoice so they can pay it online with credit card. Note this only works for users signed up with FieldPulse Payments.
Once it's sent, you'll your invoice with a status label ('Invoiced' in this case) appear in your invoices list.
