FieldPulse’s variant proposal feature offers tiered pricing options for side-by-side product comparisons. It allows your customers to easily visualize and understand the differences, benefits, and features associated with higher pricing options, while being able to compare lower-priced or value offerings simultaneously. With this feature, your techs will be able to quote up to five different product or price level comparisons to your customers on the spot.
To begin, navigate to the Sales tab on the bottom of your screen and select Variant Proposals.
Alternatively, you can select Full Menu > Sales > Variant Proposals.
Next, you can view a list of your existing variant proposals, your variant proposal templates, or select Create New to begin a new variant proposal.
Begin by titling your proposal. If you expect to use this proposal frequently, toggle on Save as Variant Proposal Template to save time in the future! You can also attach a customer to the proposal as well as include notes as needed.
In your variant proposal, you can include 2-5 options. To add additional options, select Add Item at the bottom of your screen. You can type the details for each option, including a title, description, price, photo, and footnote. Alternatively, select the Pricebook icon to insert flat-rate jobs easily from your pricebook.
After building your variant proposal, you will have the option to view the proposal, send the proposal, or turn one of your options into an estimate or invoice. View Proposal and Create Estimate/Invoice are used most frequently when on-site with a customer to present the proposal and immediately build an estimate/invoice based on their selection. Send Proposal is most frequently used to send to customers when not on-site with them.
