# Can I track employee commissions on invoices?

> Auto-calculate rep commissions on every estimate and invoice by percentage of gross sales or gross profit.

Yes, commissions can be both tracked and automatically calculated on estimates and invoices. You can choose whether to calculate the commission using a percentage of gross sales or gross profit of the invoice.

After setting the default settings for commissions, new estimates/invoices will automatically calculate commissions based on the default settings to display on the 'Cost Basis' tab of the estimate/invoice. Commission rates and method can also be adjusted on a per-invoice basis if necessary on the 'Cost Basis' tab.
