# Is the duration of the job recorded? Can I track how long my jobs last?

> How job duration is captured from status changes and reported, so you can measure how long jobs actually take.

Yes, FieldPulse tracks the ***Actual Duration*** or ***Job Duration*** based on status changes on the job record.

***Actual Duration*** is calculated based on the amount of time the job is in the *In Progress* status. The clock can be paused at anytime simply by moving it to another status such as *Pending*.

The ***Actual Duration*** will appear on the job record once the job is moved to *Completed* status. The ***Job Duration*** value will also appear on reports generated for jobs, allowing you to export to Excel and review.

Team members can also clock in and out for a job separately, which is done from *Timesheets* so that both individual employee hours and overall job duration is recorded.
