Are estimate emails that are sent multiple times always grouped in a thread, or can they be sent as separate emails?

Learn how to change your email settings to prevent estimates and other messages from being grouped in a thread.

Updated this week

To change your email thread (or conversation view) settings so that each message appears as a separate email instead of being grouped into a thread, follow these steps based on your email provider:

Gmail (Web):

  1. Open Gmail.

  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select See all settings.

  3. Under the General tab, scroll to Conversation View.

  4. Select "Conversation view off".

  5. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.

Outlook (Web - Outlook.com):

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Click the gear icon in the top right.

  3. In the search bar, type “conversation view”.

  4. Choose “Off” under Conversation view.

Outlook (Desktop App):

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Go to the View tab at the top.

  3. Uncheck Show as Conversations.

  4. Choose whether to apply it to just the current folder or all folders.

Apple Mail (Mac):

  1. Open Mail.

  2. Go to Mail > Settings (or Preferences).

  3. Under the Viewing tab, uncheck “Include related messages” or “Organize by conversation”, depending on your macOS version.
