Yes, you have control over this feature. You can disable the automatic location tagging that occurs when a technician updates a job's status. This is useful if you or your technicians prefer not to have a location recorded with every status change.
How to Turn Off Location Tagging
To disable this feature for your entire company:
Navigate to Company Settings in the main menu.
Select Workflow from the options.
Scroll down to the setting for Status Change Location Tagging.
Toggle this setting off.
When this setting is turned off, the system will no longer automatically attach a GPS location to a job's activity log whenever a tech changes its status (e.g., from "In Progress" to "Completed").
Individual Control for Technicians
In addition to the company-wide setting, individual technicians can also manage location tracking directly from their mobile devices. A technician can disable location services for the FieldPulse app in their phone's settings. However, keep in mind that this will affect other location-dependent features within the app.
