In this guide, we'll show you how to send an invoice to a customer. Follow the same steps to send an estimate.
The simplest way to send an estimate or invoice in FieldPulse is directly through the platform. To do this, navigate to the invoice you want to send. On the Invoice record, click Preview.
After clicking preview, you will be able to see what the invoice looks like before sending it to your customer. To customize what appears on this specific invoice, use the checkboxes on the right side of the screen.
These changes are for this invoice only and won't affect your default settings. You can edit your default invoice settings in Company Settings under the Estimates & Invoices tab.
Once you've selected your preview settings, review the estimate or invoice across mobile, tablet, laptop, and PDF views. This ensures that no matter how your customer sees it, the document is clear and appears exactly as you intended.

Once you've confirmed the preview looks perfect across all views, click Email to Customer at the top of the page to send it.
On the next page, a window will pop up with the email details. Adjust the subject line and body as needed and double check the recipient details.
Note that FieldPulse uses your name in the "From" field and your customer can reply directly to you.
You can also attach files to share with your customers.
After scrolling past the subject and body of the email, you'll see a section for attaching files. You have a few different options:
Visible Files: Select files previously uploaded to the original job or estimate
Email Attachments: Choose from additional files already on record
Upload Additional Files: Click the blue button to add new files from your device
For FieldPulse Payments users only:
Customize how you send and receive payments! You'll see options to:
Request a signature
Include a payment request
Accept specific payment methods, such as credit/debit cards or bank transfers (ACH)
Offer a customer loan through Acorn Finance
Adjust the payment request amount by a specific dollar amount or percentage
Attach a voice-over audio recording. This is a great option if you want to guide your customer through the estimate or invoice but don't have time for an in-person conversation or phone call.
You can also send your customer a text message at the same time. Just check the box to enable the SMS option, enter the customer's phone number and the message you want to send.
Please note, this is a one-way message. Customers won't be able to reply to this number.
Once everything looks good, click the green Send button.
