Admins and Team Managers- Learn how to create and assign a job on the new mobile app

Updated over a week ago

This guide will walk you through how to create a new job in the new FieldPulse 2.0 mobile app.

There are several areas where you can create a job from the mobile app.

  1. You can create a job from the Pulse Dashboard.

  2. You can create a job from the 'Schedule' tab on the bottom menu.

  3. You can create a job from the 'Work' tab on the bottom menu.

  4. You can create a job directly from the customer from the 'Customer' tab on the bottom menu.

In this guide, I'll provide steps on creating a job from the Pulse Dashboard.

You can start by selecting 'Create Job' in the centre of your dashboard.

From here, you can begin filling in the job details. You can either find a current customer in FieldPulse or create a new customer. You can customise the Job Title.

If the job you are scheduling requires an additional visit, you can select 'Site Visit' to schedule the next occurrence.

You can then select the proper team members who are assigned to the job(s).

When you are finished entering in the details, hit 'save' in the top right corner.

After hitting save, you'll see all the details of the job appear. If you ever need to edit the job, you can select 'edit' in the top right corner.

Your Service Tech will have the ability to select the job status (New, In Progress, Pending, Completed, Cancelled) which will not only indicate what phase of the job they're in but also track the duration of time spent on that job. Pro Tip: You can insert the duration of time spent on the job in the invoice you send to the customer!

If you scroll down, you'll notice the job notes as well as the 'Field Notes' which are intended for the service tech to use while on the job.

If you click the green action button in the bottom right corner, you'll have the option to create a subtask, quote, invoice, PO, form, asset, add a comment, attach a file/photo, send customer communication, and more.

If you click into the 'Schedule' tab on the bottom left corner, you'll be able to view the newly assigned job on the calendar.

You do have the option of clicking into the job directly from the schedule as well.
