Importing Your Item List

You can import your items into FieldPulse for use in creating estimates and invoices. First you will download our import template, next you will fill out the template with your data, and then re-upload it into FieldPulse. The items will automatically be added into your Item List. 

When filling out the import sheet, please note:

  • Item names should all be unique

  • Item names shouldn't contain special characters ($,%,#,@,+/-,*,&, etc)

  • Do Not use equations in the 'Unit Cost' or 'Unit Price' Fields

  • Do Not put spaces after the commas in the 'Tags' Field

  • Item SKUs must be unique - they can be alphanumeric

  • Make sure to choose whether the item is a 'Product' or a 'Service'


Importing your Invoice Items

Begin by clicking Company Settings in the left-side menu, then click Estimates & Invoices. On that page click on Item List in the sub-header.

Click on Item List

Once on the Item List page, click Mass Import.

Click on Mass Import

On the mass import page, click on Download to download the import template. Open the file once it's downloaded to your computer. Follow the instructions on the sheet and enter your invoice items. When you're done, be sure to save it.

Then, go back to the invoice items mass upload page and click Upload to import the items from your sheet into FieldPulse.

If the items were uploaded successfully, you will receive a notification reading, "Invoice Items were imported successfully." The items from your spreadsheet will then show up in your Item List.

If the items weren't uploaded, you will receive an error message with a list of the row numbers and issues. You can go back and edit those issues on the sheet, save, and upload the file again.
