Customer Record: FieldPulse Character Limits and Validation Rules

Use the table below to understand how to correctly fill out the fields on the customer record, ensuring compliance with FieldPulse's system requirements.

Please note: The information below applies to the fields within a Customer record.

Field

Limitations & Validations

Account Type

  • Valid Values: 'Individual' or 'Company'

  • Default Setting: If blank, set to 'Individual'

    • If 'Individual', First Name cannot be empty

    • If 'Company', Company Name cannot be empty.

Account Status

  • Valid Values: 'Lead', 'Opportunity', 'Current Customer', 'Lost', 'Other'

  • Default Setting: If blank, set to 'Current Customer'

First Name

  • Character Limit: 255

  • This field is required if the Account Type is 'Individual'.

Last Name

  • Character Limit: 255

Company Name

  • Character Limit: 255

  • This field is required if the Account Type is 'Company'.

Email

  • Character Limit: 255

  • Must be in valid email format.

Alternate Email

  • Character Limit: 255

  • Must be in valid email format.

Phone Number

  • Must follow phone number format for any country.

Alternate Phone Number

  • Must follow phone number format for any country.

Notes

  • Character Limit: 7500

Address Line 1

  • Character Limit: 255

Address Line 2

  • Character Limit: 255

City

  • Character Limit: 255

State

  • Character Limit: 255

Zip Code

  • Character Limit: 255

Use Separate Billing Address?

  • Valid Values: 'Yes' or 'No'

  • Default Setting: If blank, default to 'No'

Billing Address Line 1

  • Character Limit: 1000

Billing Address Line 2

  • Character Limit: 1000

Billing City

  • Character Limit: 255

Billing State

  • Character Limit: 255

Billing Zip Code

  • Character Limit: 255

Lead Source

  • Character Limit: 255

Assigned To [First Name]

  • Must match a Team Manager or Admin in the account.

  • First name of user only.

Assigned To [Last Name]

  • Must match a Team Manager or Admin in the account.

  • Last name of user only.

Price Tier

  • Must be the name of an existing Price Tier already set up in Company Settings.

Tags

  • Format: Comma-separated with no spaces.
