You can create jobs in FieldPulse that are not assigned to a particular team member or scheduled ahead of time. For example, you may have a job to complete sometime in the next 2 weeks, but the day is flexible and you haven't yet decided which team member to assign it to. You would create an unassigned and unscheduled job and then assign it and schedule it based on your team's availability as the week goes on.

There's a few places in FieldPulse that you can create the unassigned job. Below, I've included just one of the ways to do so. From the 'Schedule' on the left hand menu, you can select either from List View (Create Job), Dispatch (Create Job), Calendar (Create Job), Map (Create Job).

On the Create New Job page, enter the customer and job title, then click on the Start Date. In the date window, click on 'Clear Dates' to remove any dates from this job.

You'll see that the dates have been cleared.

Next enter any notes about the job, but do not select team members, then click Save.

In the newly created job record, you'll see that the job is Unscheduled and Unassigned. You can schedule or assign the job at any time by clicking the Edit button at top right on the job record.

There are a few different areas in FieldPulse where you can find your unassigned jobs.

  1. Navigate to the 'Jobs' page, and then click 'Unassigned' in the header. This will take you to a page with all the jobs that are either unscheduled or unassigned, or both.

When you're ready to assign and schedule a job, click on the job record and then click 'Edit' to add a date and assign team members.

2. You can view all unassigned jobs from the 'Schedule' view. From the 'Schedule' view, click into 'List View' then select the hour glass icon next the 'Today' and the printer icon.

3. From the 'Schedule View' click into the 'Calendar View.' Make sure you have the proper team selected from the drop down as well as the 'Week' view option. This is my personal favorite. From here, you can select the hour glass to pull up on the left hand menu all the unassigned jobs and then drag and drop the job onto the selected tech with the proper time.

Then drag and drop!
