Use Maverick to find, create, and edit estimates and invoices in plain language.
Ask Maverick about your estimates and invoices the way you’d ask a coworker. Every change shows up on a card for you to review, and nothing saves until you select Create or Save. For the basics, see Maverick Overview.
Find
“Show me all unpaid invoices for the Alvarez account.”
“What changed on Invoice #2041, and who changed it?”
“What status was this invoice in before it was voided?”
“Which completed jobs don’t have an estimate attached?”
“What payments came in by check this month?”
Use your own names for records. If your company calls estimates “quotes,” Maverick uses that word back. Everyone can ask about their own changes, and Admins and Team Managers can also ask what other people changed. Changes made through Maverick carry a “via Maverick” tag.
Create
Create an estimate.
“Quote Maria Reyes for an AC tune-up.”
“Add a new suite as a location under this customer and write a quote for it: permit, materials, and labor.”
Maverick builds a priced draft from your own Item List. Every line traces back to an item, its price, and its tax setting, and Maverick checks each line against the Item List again right before saving. An item that isn’t on your Item List won’t save, so a fuller Item List makes better drafts. For help building yours, see Setting Up Item List & Inventory.
Create an invoice or payment from whatever you have. Type it, paste it, or attach it.
“Convert Estimate #1187 to an invoice.”
(Attach a photo of a handwritten job log)
“Here’s a photo of my job log for the week. Make an invoice for each job.”
“Log a $450 check from the Alvarez account against Invoice #2041.”
Edit an estimate or invoice.
“Change Invoice #2041’s due date to 30 days after creation.”
“Add a trip charge line to Estimate #1187.”
“Change the tax rate on Estimate #1187 to 8.25%.”
Set up recurring billing.
“Bill the Alvarez account $95 a month for their service plan.”
Report
“How much money did we collect this week?”
“Revenue by month this year.”
“How much of my revenue is sitting in unpaid invoices right now?”
“How many 50-gallon water heaters have we sold in the last two weeks?”
“Did I make money on these two invoices? Show me the full cost basis.”
Pin any report to your dashboard as a live widget, or save it in the Reporting tab. For more, see Maverick for Reporting.
